IT Department

Pioneering and encouraging the adoption of state of the art technologies and integrating them with the existing systems, Pak Turk International Schools & Colleges’ teachers and students actively avail the opportunities provided by these state of the art technologies in their educational endeavors as well as in their work related to other areas.   In the IT system, the coordination of all the computers and all the required services in terms of hardware and software are provided through a single network.

As communication is the key concept of this century, we are very keen on making perfect use of the current technological opportunities that are available in this vein. Our custom-made school management software system enables us to send important notifications to the parents’ mobile phones as SMS messages. All the software programs that are needed in Pak Turk Educational Institutions (for keeping student information, monitoring student attendance, carrying out monthly and end-of-term grading and report card transactions, planning students’ and teachers’ weekly schedules, following fixed assets of the Institution, and so on) are prepared and made available to all the departments by the IT Department.

The IT Department has multimedia PCs which are equipped with advanced hardware. The computers in various sites of the campuses are managed by a single center using Windows servers and Windows XP operating systems. Our schools have the Internet connection since 1996.   As per the pressing needs and innovations in the computer industry, all the computers in our Institutions are renovated in turn. Currently in around 20 computer labs, the total number of computers exceeds 250. All of the computers have Internet connection through the DuN and DSL connections. The technical maintenance and support for all the computers in the Institutions are provided by IT staff. By August 2007, all of the classrooms in Islamabad, Lahore and Peshawar campuses will have been equipped with LCD screen computers and projection systems and work is in progress to ensure the same facilities in other campuses as well. Wireless internet and network access has been made available in some campuses.   Combined Science Labs and the Central Libraries are equipped with the Virtual Library System that enables a large variety of educational materials on software to be available for use by students and teachers.
