THE PAKTURK DIFFERENCE AT THE INTEL
EDUCATIONAL OLYMPIADS
Islamabad Rounds for Intel Education Olympiads were held on 17
November 2007 at the F-7/3 IMCB where various educational
projects in Mathematics, Biology, Chemistry, Computer Studies
and Physics.
PAKTURK International Schools & Colleges
Islamabad Boys and Girls Campuses participated to the
Competition with 16 projects in Biology, Chemistry, Mathematics,
Computer Studies and Physics. PAKTURK bagged six top positions
out of all thirteen positions. In individual category for
Biology, Physics and Computer Studies, Boys Branch secured three
individual top positions and Girls Branch secured the top
individual position in Chemistry. In team category, Boys Branch
got the first position in Mathematics and Biology, whereas the
Mathematics and Biology projects of the Girls Branch and the
Computer Studies project of the Boys Branch are shortlisted to
compete at the National Rounds of the Intel Education Olympiads.
Islamabad PAKTURK students secured the prestigious Grand
Winners Award in two individual categories and one team
category. Among these the Chemistry project of the Girls Branch
was awarded the Best of the Best Individual Project while the
Biology project of the Boys Branch was awarded the Best of the
Best Team Award. In total, nine projects from PAKTURK
International Schools & Colleges Islamabad Campuses are to
compete at the National Rounds of the Intel Educational
Olympiads alongside four more projects from Lahore and Multan
Campuses which topped the Punjab Rounds of the Intel Education
Olympiads to compete at the National Rounds to be held in
January 2008.
In addition to these local achievements, PAKTURK
educational institutions are soon to compete with the world at
the 2008 INEPO – International Environmental Project Olympiads
to be held in May 2008 in Baku, Azerbaijan in categories of
Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Environmental and Health Studies.
During February – March 2008, PAKTURK educational institutions
are to hold local preliminary/elective rounds to elect the final
projects to compete internationally in 2008 INEPO.

Remarkable Achievement
in Intel Science Olympiad 2007 >
Balochistan Intel Science Education Center arranged the 2007
Science Exhibition at boy’s scout’s hall on October 25, 2007.
From all over the Balochistan 60 projects were displayed, in
which PAKTURK International Schools and Colleges Quetta Campus
was also presented their projects. In chemistry category PAKTURK
International School displayed the following project;

Name of Project: “Production of Electricity from Organic
Garbage”.
In this project our students displayed the experiment that how
the electricity produce from organic garbage. In this experiment
a student passed the current from wires and has shown about the
1.4 to 1.6V current and the bulb was lit up to the visitors.
Muhibullah Rajput of class 9th and Syed Irfan Shah of class 10th
made this project under the supervision of Ms.Nadia Noor, our
chemistry teacher.
By
the great efforts of our students, in this science exhibition
our project got 1st position in chemistry category and won the
grand prize in all categories. His Excellency Israr Hussain,
Provincial Secretary for Communication and Information
Technology, distributed the prizes among the students and
specially, he gave the grand prize to the students of PAKTURK
International School Quetta Cam pus.
Similarly, 23 biology projects were also displayed in this
exhibition, in which our students were also participated with
great zest and zeal.
The name of project was “Formation of
Urine”. In this model our students has shown that how the urine
pass and filters inside the human body.
Among
23rd biology projects throughout Balochistan, PAKTURK
International School got 1st position in this science
exhibition. Under the supervision of Ms. Saima Khan, biology
teacher and
by
the great efforts of Ghazala Bano Kakar class 9th, Ammara Jabeen
class 9th and Nazeer Ahmed class 10th our biology project
clinches 1st position throughout Balochistan.

FLYING COLOURS AT INTEL SCIENCE PROJECT OLYMPIADS
Pak Turk International Schools & Colleges entered the second term of the
2006-2007 Academic Year with another outstanding educational success.
Having participated to the Intel Science Project Olympiads from
Islamabad and Quetta, Pak Turk educational institutions competed with
more than 30 schools in Physics, Mathematics and Computer Sciences.
Qualifying as the
Best Team Winner in Mathematics at the Islamabad Round
of the Olympiad held on 27-28 December 2006, Islamabad Pak Turk Schools
& Colleges secured the right to compete for the National Round to
qualify for International Olympiad to be held in the United States. In
the National Round which was held on 15-16 January 2007, Pak Turk
Schools’ Mathematics project titled “Different Ways of Multiplication”
presented by Danish Bashir and Farrukh Raza of Class 9 CIE O Level
secured the First Position as Best of Category Team Winners in Pakistan.
Quetta
Pak Turk Schools’ Mathematics Project titled, “The Effective Use of
Microsoft Excel® in Mathematics” secured the top position in the Quetta
Round was also highly commended by the Selection Jury at the National
Round.
Pak Turk Schools’ Physics Project titled, “Colourful Armatures”
presented by Yasin Bhatti of Class 9 CIE O Level and Zain’ul Muhsinin
Hassan of Class 10 CIE O Level was awarded the Best of Category Award
for Islamabad Round. The same project competed with more than 45
projects across Pakistan and received high commendation from the
Selection Jury for its innovative use of equipment.

Having qualified for the National Round after a flying colours success
at the Islamabad Round, Pak Turk Schools’ Computer Project titled,
“Online Remote Control Console” was presented by Muhammad Adil Umer of
Class 10 CIE O Level and Danial Mubarak of Class 10 SSC. This project
was highly commended by the Selection Jury at the National Round for its
innovative and indigenous use of equipment.
Overall, Pak Turk International Schools & Colleges from Islamabad and
Quetta competed at the Intel National Science Project Olympiads by four
projects in Physics, Mathematics and Computer Science.
