. ![]() ![]() PAKTURK International Schools & Colleges Islamabad Girls Branch adminisrators and educationists called on Cdr (R) Muhammed S Shamshad, Chairman FBISE on 1 November 2007 at his office. Esteemed Chairman FBISE conferred an award to Maryam Qader Khan, Class 7 student of Islamabad Girls Branch, who got the first position in All-Pakistan Kangaroo Maths Olimpiads at Benjamin Level. Chairman FBISE highly commended on the dedication of the administrators and teachers of the PAKTURK Schools across the country. Commenting on the proximity of the peoples of the two countries, Chairman FBISE highlighted how significant was the PAKTURK Schools’ motto, “Two Countries, One Nation.” Congratulating the teachers and Maryam Qadar Khan with the words, “We recognise the sincere efforts Turkish people in Pakistan for uplifting the education across Pakistan. Besides bringing our countries through the unifying language of education, you also set standards for the realm of education. I heartily congratulate Maryam on achieving a national award in an international educational competition. It’s nice to hear that she will be publicly awarded with a Gold Medal in December. Keep up the good work and keep the flag of Pakistan high!” Mr Lokman Cakir, Principal Girls Branch briefed Chairman FBISE on PAKTURK International Schools & Colleges across Pakistan. Emphasizing the sincere dedication of Turkish philanthropists to the cause of education in Pakistan, Mr Cakir informed Cdr (R) Shamshad about the new campuses of the PAKTURK School Network in Islamabad, Lahore and Peshawar. Esteemed Chairman FBISE assured the Principal and the teachers of the School of his and his staff’s assistance in all aspects regarding the FBISE. Cdr (R) Muhammad S Shamshad also consented for Mr Lokman Cakir’s invitation for visiting PAKTURK School campuses in Islamabad. Maryam Qader Khan, Class-7 Student of Pak-Turk Int’l Schools & Colleges, Islamabad Girls Branch, secured ‘All Pakistan 1st position of BENJAMIN LEVEL’, in Int’l Kangaroo Mathematics Contest 2007. Flying colours will be awarded medals at a special ceremony to be held by the end of this year at the GCU, Lahore. Pak-Turk Int’l Schools & Colleges, Girls Branch is among 22 participating schools who have achieved the highest level of performance Pakistan wide. The 3rd Int’l Kangaroo Mathematics Contest organized by The School of Mathematical Sciences, GC University, Lahore on 22nd March 2007. This contest is the world’s largest international mathematical event. It is organized by the International Association ‘Kangaroo Sans Frontiers’ also known as Mathematics Without Borders. The main purpose of the Contest is to promote mathematical thinking and interest by providing students, from around the world, with an opportunity to compare their abilities with the abilities of other students in different countries. This year around 4.5 million students appeared in the contest worldwide. More than one-third of the 32,300 Pakistani students of grades 3 to 12, who appeared in the Int’l Kangaroo Mathematics Contest 2007, have performed better than the world average. |
