Subject Proficiency Tests (SPE)
Initiated as an upgrade to All-Pakistan General Assessment Tests, the
first of Subject Proficiency Tests were conducted in April-May 2007
among approximately 10,000 students from hundreds of government and
private schools in seven major cities i.e. Islamabad, Karachi, Khairpur
Mirs, Lahore, Multan, Peshawar and Quetta and as well as in various
towns and cities near these. Aimed at offering an educational
benchmark for students to observe their position in their schools,
cities and in Pakistan, the SPE 2007 has been hailed as a great
contribution to the educational scene of the country. The examinations
were administered on site and at Pak Turk International Schools &
Colleges branches in Islamabad, Karachi, Khairpur Mirs, Lahore, Multan,
Peshawar and Quetta through specially-designed and graded examination
booklet and optically-readable answer sheets to provide the speediest
and the most accurate result declaration.
Students who have topped in
the examinations have been offered attractive gifts such as Pentium IV
computers and mobile phones besides the educational merit scholarships
at the Pak Turk Educational Institutions for those who wish to get
admission to the Schools and Colleges. |
