Pak-Turk Schools And Colleges: Istanbul Mayor Kadir Topbas Lays Foundation Stone Of Girls Campus

Mayor of Istanbul laid the foundation stone of girls campus of Pak-Turk International Schools and Colleges on Raiwind Road.Punjab Chief Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif, Ambassador of Turkey in Pakistan Mustafa Babur Hizlan, Provincial Ministers, Members of National and Provincial Assembly, Members of Pak-Turk Education Foundation and a large number of dignitaries were present on the occasion. Chairman Pak-Turk International Schools and Colleges while informing about the project of girls campus said that educational facilities would be available for 900 girls after completion of this project. He said the foundation is providing educational facilities to more than five thousand children in 18 schools in Pakistan. 

He also thanked Chief Minister Punjab Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif for extending cooperation for the educational projects of Pak-Turk International Schools and Colleges and provision of prime land for the construction of girls campus. Dr Topbas said that relations between Turkey and Pakistan spanned over centuries and the bond of friendship between the two countries was unique. He said that he would never forget the love and affection shown by the people of Lahore during his visit, adding that the Turk were pleased to extend cooperation to Pakistanis in various sectors. He said that Turkey had made progress by dint of hard work and the people of Pakistan would also have to show the same spirit.

The Turkish delegation exchanged views with the students. Chief Minister Mian Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif also exchanged views with students of Pak-Turk girls’ campus. He said to one small student  please teach me Turkish, if you will teach me Turkish I will be able to talk with Turkish president and governor. He also discussed with students about chief minister Laptop scheme.

The Turkish delegation spent a busy day in Lahore. Turkish firms are due to take up the big responsibility of Lahore’s Solid Waste Management, setting up a modern IT university and generating energy from indigenous resources. Mayor Topbas was warmly greeted wherever he went, especially at “Shalimar Gardens” to attend a citizens reception held in his honor. When the delegation came, people lining either side of roads cheered and danced to welcome them.  Pak-Turk friendship is an excellent example of fraternal relations between the two countries. 
The visit of Qadir Topbas was reflective of the deep-rooted ties between Pakistan and Turkey, who have always stood by each other during thick and thin.
