On occasion of his official visit to Pakistan on April 1, 2010, His Excellency Abdullah Gül, President of the Republic of Turkey graced the exclusive function held in his honour by the PakTurk educational institutions in Islamabad. Accompanied by three ministers, five members of the Turkish Grand National Assembly and a large delegation of businesspeople, His Excellency Turkish President took great interest in the proceedings.
After listening to the prize-winning song by Muhammad Salman of Islamabad Boys Branch who won the Gold Medal in the 7th International Turkish Olympiad in Singing category, His Excellency Gül congratulated him.
Speaking on the occasion, His Excellency Turkish President said, "I find it an impressive twist of fate that our visit coincided with the 15th anniversary of the establishment of PakTurk educational institutions in Pakistan. We are proud of the achievements attained by the PakTurk educational institutions which also extend fortified bridges and fraternity ties between our countries."
His Excellency Abdullah Gül congratulated and thanked the Turkish philanthropist businesspeople as well as the Pakistani philanthropists who beneficently support the services rendered by the PakTurk educational institutions.
On occasion of the state dinner held in his honour at the Aiwan-e-Sadr, His Excellency Abdullah Gül introduced the PakTurk ICEF executives to His Excellency Asif Ali Zardari and said, "I vouch for these schools. The services rendered by these institutions promote the socio-economic and cultural dialogue between our countries, in augmentation of our existing mutuality and fraternity."
