TURKISH FOREIGN MINISTER VISIT TO LAHORE CAMPUS

The Foreign Minister of Republic of Turkey Prof. Dr. Ahmet DAUDOGLU visited PakTurk Lahore Campus on Thursday 10th January 2009 along with 22 delegation members. He was accompanied by Turkish Ambassador Mr. Engin SOSAL, Honorary Council General of Turkey in Lahore Mian Tajammal Hussain and a team of well-nown journalists and writers of Turkey.

The Punjab Education Minister Mian Mujtaba Shuja ur Rehman was also with the honorable guests. The Foreign Minister and his delegation reached campus at 4` o clock. The chairman of PTICEF Mr. Unal TOSAR, MD. Mr. Fesih CELIK and educational Director Mr. Kamil TURE, Mr. Adbulgani Gulmez (Principal Islampura Branch) welcomed the delegation along with students and teachers. They were given a warm welcome. The guests initially visited different parts of the school campus like pre-section, physics, chemistry, biology and computer labs. They also visited hostel building. Foreign Minister and his delegation appreciated the faculty and students of school campus with all modern educational facilities. Then a small programme was held in his honour.

National Anthem of both brotherly countries of Pakistan and Turkey were presented and sung by well-dressed and shining PakTurk students. Chairman of PTICEF MR. Unal TOSUR gave welcome speech and told guests about activities and services of PTICEF across Pakistan. Muhammad Iqbal (grade 8 student), Muizullah Khan Naqash (grade 8 student) and Haseeb & Afaq Rahat (grade 9 students) presented Turkish famous poems and songs with their melodious voices which inspired the visitors a lot.

Prof. Dr. Ahmet DAUDOGLU said while addressing "This is my first foreign visit after resumption of my office. We fully support these PakTurk Int'l Schools and Colleges. They are the bridges of our two brotherly countries of Pakistan and Turkey. These schools are doing excellent services to humanity in the field of education."

He congratulated the management of PTICEF for their warm welcome. Foreign Minister and his delegation left to meet Former Prime Minister of Pakistan Mian Muhammd Nawaz Sharif after spending an hour in PTICEF. He also had a group photo with the management, students and faculty of the school. This program was conducted by the Principal Mr. Adem AKGEDIK.
