| NEW PERIOD WITH 2006
Conscious of the toll taken by the school-going children of the
earthquake-affected regions as well as the collapsed educational
infrastructure, Pak Turk ICEF mobilized the Turkish public opinion’s
concerns for uplifting the education and social welfare of the students
in these regions. Having pledged with the People and Government of
Pakistan for this cause, Pak Turk ICEF in collaboration with the Kimse
Yok Mu Aid and Solidarity Association, completed the construction of 10
state-of-the-art prefabricated school buildings that were erected on the
sites of the collapsed schools in Muzaffarabad, Balakot and Mansehra.
The entire educational furniture, setup and equipment of these schools
were flown from Turkey and were assembled in record time to be
inaugurated by the Former PM of AJK, Sardar Sikandar Hayat Khan with the
Former Ambassador of Turkey Hasan Kemal Gur in May 2006. These schools
were submitted to the jurisdiction of the educational authorities in AJK
