H.E Erkan Mumcu, Chairman of the Motherland Party, which has an
important place in Turkish political scene, visited Pakistan alongwith a
group of Turkish MNAs in solidarity with the nation of Pakistan. H.E.
Mumcu paid a special visit to Pak Turk Schools, along with his
delegation and the members of the Turkish press. A group of students welcomed H.E. Mumcu with flowers and placards of welcome in Turkish and Urdu. After having briefed about the schools’ activities by Mr Ahmet Kester, Principal, His Excellency Mumcu said, “It’s a commonly talked that nations and states of Pakistan and Turkey are brothers since the time immemorial. However, I have been moved by what I have witnessed in here. Pak Turk schools maintain the establishment and perpetuity of sturdy bridges in culture and cooperation between our countries. We are proud of these schools’ presence. Words cannot express our gratitude to the sponsors who contributed to the establishment of these schools in Pakistan and the teachers who selflessly perform their noble duty of disseminating education. I thank them on the behalf of the Turkish Nation and congratulate them wholeheartedly. I hope the number of schools in Pakistan will increase in the years to come.” His Excellency Mumcu completed his visit by having commemorative photographs with the school administration, staff and students.
