For Pak Turk ICEF, the year 2007 meant a segment in time which brimmed with activity for uplifting the social and educational welfare in Pakistan. Having risen to the sudden challenge of the aftermath to the 8 October 2005 Earthquake, Pak Turk ICEF was bestowed with the opportunity to further channel Turkish people’s philanthropic donations to Pakistan from humanitarian assistance viewpoint, besides its first and foremost mission in Pakistan: Education. Throughout 2006 and in 2007 so far, Pak Turk ICEF speeded the relief and reconstruction efforts that it pledged for the earthquake-affected people and regions of Pakistan first in terms of one-on-one assistance on field, later through generous educational incentives for deserving students from earthquake-affected areas so as to facilitate them with uninterrupted education at state-of-the-art campuses. As per the worthy guidance and direction of His Excellency President of Pakistan for Pak Turk ICEF to lend a generous hand in the reconstruction of the collapsed educational infrastructure in the AJK and NWFP, Pak Turk ICEF have completed the construction, overall equipment and delivery of the 10 state-of-the-art prefabricated school buildings to AJK and NWFP Ministries of Education in Muzafferabad, Mansehra, Hassari and Balakot in collaboration with Turkey’s Kimse Yok Mu Aid and Solidarity Association in a record time-span of 4 months. Highly honoured by His Excellency President of Pakistan’s conferring the Sitara-e-Eisaar to Pak Turk ICEF on 30 June 2006 for its services to the people of Pakistan for the last 12 years, Pak Turk ICEF renewed its pledge for the service to the welfare of Pakistan. 2007 has also been a unique year for Pak Turk ICEF to augment its educational setup across Pakistan as well. With the grace of the Almighty, soon completing the constructions of purpose-built, marvellous in technology state-of-the-art schools in Islamabad, Lahore, and Peshawar, Pak Turk ICEF is to set deep-seated examples in the educational realm of Pakistan. The construction for Quetta Campus is projected at the outset of 2008. As 2007 went by with all its dynamic and positive developments such as the Gold Medal and the total cash prize of Rs. 420,000/- for seven Pak Turk students’ success with flying colours in 5th International Dilset Turkish Language Olympiad among 105 world countries, 2007 saluted Pak Turk ICEF and Pak Turk Schools with outstanding success at the Provincial and National Intel Science Project Competition, the All-Pakistan FBISE Inter-School Science Olympiad and the foundation-laying of the school buildings in three provincial capitals in Pakistan. Actions speak louder than words, indeed and this is what Pak Turk ICEF is doing, insha'Allah. With profound regards, |
