A 50-member Turkish delegation comprising educationists, businessmen and
philanthropists sponsoring Pak Turk educational institutions in Pakistan
called on His Excellency Dr Ishratul Ebad Khan, Governor of Sindh.
Receiving the delegation, His Excellency Dr Ishratul Ebad Khan said, “In order to further augment the bonds between Pakistan and Turkey, we have to invest heavily on commerce and education. Contrary to the time-tested historical ties between our countries, the trade volume is not as large as it should be. Such visits like yours serve immensely to this end and the Government of Pakistan as well as the Government of Sindh encourages everyone who wishes to invest to the social, educational and economical infrastructure of Pakistan.”
Emphasizing the significance of the calling delegation’s sponsorship to 14 Pak Turk educational institutions in 7 cities of Pakistan, His Excellency Governor Sindh added, “What Pakistan needs the most to cope with the looming challenges of the 21st century is universal education. Investments for education are indeed meant for the future of our country. I find Pak Turk educational institutions’ mission of striving to increase the literacy in Pakistan as highly commendable and indispensable. I and my entire officers are ready to assist you in all matters of cooperation to enable you with further ease in rendering your noble duty for Pakistan’s educational welfare. It should be noted that by means of your selfless endeavours, the bonds between our countries will be strengthened and the youth of Pakistan shall never forget what you have done for their wellbeing.”
